Children of Dreams – By Lorilyn Roberts – Book

I have just finished reading Children of Dreams by author Lorilyn Roberts.

I have to say that my first instinct as I was reading this book was to feel both guilty and humility. It is apparent that Lorilyn Roberts has gone through so many life experiences that would have, no doubt, brought me to my knees, yet, through all of it – she has remained a compassionate, loving and inspired person.

I felt humility reading this book because I always seem to forget that “god only gives us what god knows we can handle” and at times, I have felt incredibly sorry for myself for some of the things that I have had to go through and I have done it with a lot less grace that Lorilyn Roberts.

In this book, she details her struggles, as well as all the good that has happened in her life and asks us to remember that we are always god’s children through it all.

While this book was a bit over religious for my taste (i prefer spiritual to religion), I was so amazed by this woman’s strength that I decided to take the message she was trying to send through her writing and leave the parts that were not really what I was about.

I believe that everyone will find something of value in this highly touching and inspiring book, regardless of what/who you believe in. As humans, we do have a uniting force which comes through loud and clear in this wonderful book – that sends a message of hope to everyone who will read it.
